About a month ago I photographed this creative and hardworking couple’s country-style wedding north of Star Prairie, Wisconsin. But for now I will preview their engagement photos. Well, a handful of them anyways.
We met this summer one evening between rain showers. I love how different a session is, based on the lighting during that time. I do own some lighting sources but my favorite is the sun, whether it is diffused by thick clouds or reflecting off the moon for a post-wedding-meal photo of a couple after they tied the knot. Lighting is one aspect that can make photos truly unique from another photo in the same location!
Emma and Jason have a moody and cool session here. And, they made the most of it. We met at River Island Park in downtown Star Prairie. We photographed them where Jason proposed, a favorite and meaningful place to them. They also wanted to have their puppies (Millie and Percy) in a few shots as they mean so much to them. I will never forget how when they came to my home my own dog calmed right down with them. They have a way with animals!
Emma loves riding horses and is a school nurse in Minnesota. I can see what draws Jason in! And, although he is well taken care of by Emily, he is just as caring with her. He enjoyed our time together and they both are very happy with their event photos. I will be sharing their wedding very soon!
Thank you for the privilege and honor of being a part of your special moments this year, Emma and Jason! I have enjoyed getting to know you both!
