There is grandiosity in simplicity. In it there is life, shared moments, and love. Simplicity earns respect in a pressure filled world with beautiful things as it is tempting to fill our lives with details. Jen and Travis did a lovely job maintaining their focus on one another, their family including their daughters, and their friends.
They preferred a laid back morning. I found Jen and their girls at her home where it was quiet and peaceful. We spent some time playing, even sitting down to relax a few moments here and there. And then after spending some time with the busyness of the boys getting ready we all met down at the Polk County Park along the Apple River for some group photos before heading to the church in Clayton for a classic country wedding. The church was warm and fans were blowing, even the pastor fanned the bride and groom during the ceremony!
After they said their “I do’s”, Jen and Travis were stollen by the wedding parties. I was able to stop in with the girls who had some fun with Travis. He went along with us and posed for some fun photos before heading off to the reception.
We ended the day at Crickets in Amery. I loved the decor, especially the photos and beautiful plants around the room. The food was wonderful and the guests enjoyed celebrating the marriage of these two!
I have many favorites from the day but one thing really stands out to me, the size of Travis’ smile! Jen, you have made him a happy man! Your family is adorable and I am as always honored to be a part of such a special day! I look forward to your family session this fall 🙂
