Happy (nearly) 2 Months, Jenna and Mike!
The past 2 months have flown by since this wedding. It has been so fun prepping this post and looking back on such a beautiful and truly fun day! Something notable is that Jenna and Mike had their very cold engagement session with me in March and then it warmed up a bunch (about 90 degrees) in time for their beautiful July event.
We (my sister was along with this one which is always fun) went to Jenna’s home in Lino Lakes to start. There the girls were having their hair and make-up donned. They enjoyed laughing and chatting along with drinking coffee and champagne and breathing in some relaxing essential oils. Relaxing and intimate is exactly what Jenna wanted and just what she received.
Then we went to the renowned Nazareth Chapel on the University of Northwestern campus in St. Paul, Minnesota. The photos of Jenna’s dress, along with their First-Look and the group photos were so fun. There are endless options at the campus. And, the chapel is such a unique location. The photos are exactly what Mike and Jenna were hoping for. In fact, Jenna shared that when Mike was in school there she told him she was going to get married there. She said she didn’t know who it was going to be to, but she knew where! Jenna has a great sense of humor 🙂
After the ceremony, Mike and Jenna were escorted by Jenna’s brother around the lake where I could capture them with the chapel tower in the background. Then we continued on to Minneapolis where the party began! The Ramada Hotel Plaza was a perfect location. The outdoor area was a large attraction. Guests enjoyed great food and lots of laughs and entertainment, including “Brittney Ice” rapping her Maid-of-Honor speech.
Jenna and Mike are so sweet together. They are both polite and respectful and the love between them is admirable. I was so honored to be chosen to spend the day with them. The largest compliment I received was from Jenna at her home that morning when she told me that after seeing another bride’s photos she knew then that she needed to have me photograph her wedding.
Thank you for that Jenna and Mike! I hope to keep in touch and it was so great seeing you and your family at another wedding this summer!
